Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer

Looking for highly motivated firmware engineers to bolster our US and India teams. MP Consulting is a Chicago-based product development firm staffed with Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware engineers working on cutting edge products in the consumer, medical, and automotive industries. We are expanding our team to continue to deliver quality solutions to our customers.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (BS) or Master’s (MS) degree preferably in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field ; 3-5 years experience
  • Experience programming in C
  • Able to write modular, reusable code
  • Skilled in implementing state-based application flows
  • RTOS experience – thread communications, synchronization, and overall design
  • Familiarity with embedded communication protocols – I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, etc.
  • Experience with overall system design, both RTOS and bare-metal
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and bash is a plus.
  • Tenacity and relentlessness to solve problems
